![]() "Everything you put on your body tells the world how you expect to be treated." - Clinton Kelly, What Not To Wear Every so often I dream that Stacy London and Clinton Kelly show up at my door to recruit me for What Not To Wear. "The burden of battling bad style is just too great.", they say, "You must help us!" It's a lovely dream that's always fun. I like to pop onto their website regularly to check for new tips and Style Quizzes. My scores on the most recent two? Smart Shopper Quiz = 100% Wow! You are truly a smart shopper! Thanks, Lydee! Life gets so busy and it's so easy for ourselves and our style to slip right down the totem pole. Every once in a while we have to ratchet ourselves back up a notch or two! 07/31/2009 06:25
Great post - lots of good ideas. I find it interesting that women (particularly mothers) get so out of the habit of dressing well after they have kids (and their kids become the complete focus of their lives) that when they do dress better they feel completely over-dressed. It takes a while to get used to feeling 'smart' again every day! 08/04/2009 14:41
Imogen- You're so right! Mothers DO get out of the habit and then feel overdressed. I think we look in the mirror but don't really see ourselves. Maybe we see our "pre-baby", "when I had more than 2 minutes to myself" selves. Leave a Reply |
